Poem: We Don't Want to be in Your Prayers

According to "God,"
We are sinners,
Because we are Native,

What is "God,"
A rapist?
A colonizer?
A conquistador?
Crusaders?

We don't believe in your "God,"
Because "God" benefits you,

"God" set up torture chambers,
So by force you would become a Christian,
They laid you down on the table,
They laid you down on the table,
During the Inquisitions,

So please don't put us in your prayers,
Prayers add weight to the burden of our communities,
To healing,
To recovery,
Wellbriety,

So please don't put us in your prayers,
Do not pray for us.
