Poem: Blood Memory

Tribulation,
Reciprocation
Develop-mentally dis-abled,
Chronologically,
Lineally,
Thinking,

Horizontal magnification,
Ideologically unbelievable,
Soil diffusion,
Confusion,
Stopping,

Blood memory,
Generational grief,
Grieving,
Still grieving,
You'll find us near the water,
Near the Earth,
Close,
Closer,

Generational sadness,
Timeless,
White man's time,
Clock ticking,

Speed bump,
Slow down,
Hunker down,
Generational wounding,
Soul wounding,
Healing,
Healed,

Generational sorrow,
Our face drips with frowns,
Can't smile,
Can't break a smile,
We've hit the wall with our hands,
Plaster falls down in pieces,
The soul can not be,

Blood memory,
Difficulty in attaining,
Difficulty in understanding,
In the realities of time,
Current time,
Unreal time,

So to the land we go,
People are defunct,
The waves from towers,
Radio towers,
Distill a diffraction,
On the soul,
On the soil,
Connecting to a disconnected body,

The ancestors come through blood memory,
So much blocks this process,
Have to hunker down,
In your body,
In your soul,
On the land,
Ancestral wisdom is found in silence.
