Poem: Indigenous Creation

I have poetry everywhere. I have 127 pages on a few word documents, 10 notebooks of poetry and it is scattered throughout my 22 journals. I have kept a personal journal since 1989 when I was just 8 years old. I love writing! The poem below was posted to my World Pulse journal. So I thought I would dig it out and post it here. Enjoy!

Indigenous Creation

Rooted deeply into the Earth,
A wisdom of the soil,
A wisdom of truth,
How the roots connect with the Earth,
And the plant reaches and reaches,
Like our spirits reaching,
An indigenous creation to root deeply into the Earth,
Reach up to the spirit,
While being balanced in both.
