Racing the Rez Documentary

About this project

Are you a fan of running, Native American culture, high school cross-country, or just know what it takes to have a goal and never say die?  If so, then Racing the Rez is your kind of documentary.  We've finished shooting the film and are two-thirds of the way through editing.

All we need now is your help to give us the final kick that will take this film across the finish line - but we've only got 30 days to raise $15,000 - otherwise we DON'T get the funding.  That's why we need your help now!

This looks like a really awesome project! Running is such a fun way to involve youth on long term goals and projects too! Good luck and let me know if you want me to do a blog post about it

Thank you so much Anishinaabekwe! Your post is a huge help in getting the word out and your support is greatly appreciated. Also, you have a fascinating name - is it Ojibway?

Thank you also G Bell, your comment is right on and a big reason I started this project. Not enough people realize the power of running as a sport, and how it's discipline and goal setting reach beyond athletics.

I know you were asking Anishinaabekwe but I would love for you to do a blog post about it, let me know if you need any additional info.

Thank you both!
